Fabric Holiday Wreath
Thursday, November 18th, 2010I know I’ve been MIA for the past few weeks and I’m sorry. It’s safe to say the wedding flat-out-wore-me-out and the new job (which I LOVE) is cranked into high gear…BUT there’s no time for excuses because the holidays are just around the corner and lately I’m feeling inspired to indulge in all sorts of holiday craft projects!
I can’t remember where I first spotted fabric wreaths…but with the massive amount of fabric that I have accumulated, they are a perfect project for me. I get to make something festive for the holidays AND de-clutter my craft studio. It’s a win/win!
I sorted thru all of my fabric pieces and started to build a color palate. You might recognize some of the fabric from my Dress Project and from Crafty Chicks Night in July. It felt good to be able to use some pretty prints that were just lying on a shelf. I even sliced up an old pair of jeans. I cut the fabric into 6 inch strips. The rest was as simple as tying a knot. Literally!
Here’s how it all came together:
I’ve got a handful of projects I can’t wait to get started on and will share them with you as soon as they are out of my head and onto my craft table. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, family and friends!
