my DIY wedding: creativity not meant to be
Yesterday, I sat down with my ever growing list of art projects for the wedding and decided I needed to get a little perspective.
In other words, I needed to get real.
I have found countless ideas for things I want to make/do/create for this wedding…literally, there are too many to count. I feverishly email them to my girlfriends asking their opinion…“oh my gosh, how adorable is this” and “wouldn’t this be perfect at the rehearsal dinner (and/or) ceremony (and/or) reception?” and “I could totally pull this off, don’t you think?”
At the rate I’m collecting projects for this wedding….I’m going to need two weddings!
So, I sat down and went thru the painful process of letting some ideas go. It wasn’t easy. I decided to share them with everyone so they can get the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ they deserve.

Now, with a (somewhat) shorter list of DIY projects and crafty to-dos, I’m feeling like a have a more realistic vision for the big day….and for the 5 months leading up to it. And, don’t worry…there are still projects a ‘plenty that I’m working on and I’ll share them all with you!
